"[We] ... are forever searching for love in forms it never takes, in places it can never be. It must have something to do with the vanished frontier.”

I'm always walking with you, but I look and you're not there
Whoever I'm with, I'm always talking to you
I'm always talking to you, and I'm sad that
You can't hear, sad that you can't hear
It always ends up to one thing, honey,
When I look and you're not there
I need to know you, need to feel my arms around you
Feel my arms around you, like a sea around a shore
And each night and day I pray, in hope
That I might find you, in hope that I might
Find you, because hearts can do no more

“I don't want to be married just to be married.
I can't think of anything lonelier than spending the rest of my life with someone I can't talk to,
or worse, someone I can't be silent with.”

“Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind,
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves,
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow.

Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free,
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands,
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves,
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.”

<![CDATA[Welcome to Suburbia]]>Sat, 05 Oct 2013 03:27:25 GMThttp://50shadesoftaupe.com/1/post/2013/10/welcome-to-suburbia1.html
I live in suburbia. From crescent to cul-de-sac, row upon row, there are dwellings in fifty different shades of taupe. There are lighter taupe ones and darker taupe ones. Some mix it up with a different taupe for the trim or stone.

Even the walls inside have been safely painted taupe. There is no bold red wall on which to perpetually contemplate: should I have gone with leaf green or maybe a cobalt blue?

Taupe is comfortable; taupe is neutral. 'Neutral' is suburbian for no regrets.
